hello and welcome -
The Tailored Guide grew out of a love of researching the details — the kind that can completely change an experience.
I’m a detail-oriented, Type A overthinker who genuinely enjoys researching, comparing options, organizing information, and figuring out the little things that can make an experience better. I’m the person who will happily spend hours researching a hotel, reading through the fine print, comparing products, or mapping out the logistics of a trip — and then organize everything I learned so someone else doesn’t have to.
I’m also a wife and mom of two young kids, so much of what I research is shaped by real life. I think about how to make travel easier, where it’s worth spending more, what actually works for a family, and how to create an experience that feels enjoyable rather than overwhelming.
Travel is where this instinct shows up most naturally — and Disney travel has become a particular favorite. Tailored Magic is the Disney-focused side of The Tailored Guide, created from a genuine love of Disney and the belief that there is no single “right” way to experience it. Here you’ll find firsthand resort and cruise reviews, practical planning guides, packing and style ideas, and the details I’ve learned from traveling to Disney with my own family. The goal isn’t to plan the “perfect” Disney vacation, but to help you create one that feels perfectly tailored to you.
But my research rabbit holes extend well beyond travel. I’m currently renovating our townhouse, which means they now regularly include materials, finishes, furniture, products, and all the decisions that come with creating a home.
Many of the guides here are shaped by firsthand experience — places I’ve stayed, products I’ve used, and trips I’ve planned and taken with my own family. Others begin with extensive research and a desire to answer the questions I couldn’t easily find answered elsewhere.
The goal of The Tailored Guide isn’t to tell you what’s “best.” It’s to give you the details, perspective, and practical advice you need to decide what’s best for you.
Because the right choice depends on the experience you’re trying to create.
With Love,
TG
